Board Members

  • President

    David Foster

My name is David Foster, and I was hired by the Denver Fire Department in September 1999. I always wanted to be part of this honorable profession and quickly discovered how important our union is. I have been involved with the union since 2003 as the health and benefits director and on the negotiating team since 2004. I am proud to have been able to contribute to advances in our health insurance, the post-employment health plan, increased personal time off, and increased benefits for our firefighters battling occupational cancer.

As president, I am honored to serve the largest local in the 9th District of the IAFF and am excited to what the future will bring us and future generations of this great fire department.

Please stay safe and look after one another and let’s keep our union moving forward together!
